The Prosper Arts and Music Festival HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED for Saturday, 9/27, with CCSA members, The Black Prairie Band, headlining from 5:30 PM to 7 PM. Saturday, 9/20, BPB’s Sam Moore and Gary Tullier perform at Dallas Songwriters Association’s Crossroads Showcase, Rockhouse Grille, 4060 Beltline Rd. in Addison, 9:30 PM. Included in their play list will be the "world premiere" of three new songs. Sunday, Sept. 21, BPB performs at the Plano Balloon Festival, Spring Creek Rd. in Plano, 8:30 AM.

The Ryan Michael Galloway Band (featuring Chad Ireland and Matthew Gaskins) had a great night at AK’s in Fairview last Saturday, with a packed house despite the storm. On 9/18, Ryan Michael Galloway will play solo at Journeys Pub in McKinney, Texas, NE corner of Custer and Virginia Parkway, 7:00 PM, and on 9/24 at The Filling Station, 19009 Preston Road just south of the George Bush, at 7:00 PM. For those experienced musicians who would like to sit in, he usually has his a bass, spare guitar, and an extra mic ready to go. Michael “The Mudcat” Reames has been joining him regularly on blues harmonica, and Steve Sullivan (DSA President) and Dan Smith (bassist) joined him for a couple of sets at The Filling Station on Wednesday, September 10th.

CCSA is holding planning meetings for Rockin’ the Park 09, scheduled for April 18. This will be a multi-dimensional event, enlisting several local music-oriented businesses, providing songwriting and music industry seminars, and capped by an evening concert at Warren Park.
