Steve Anderson will play an evening of blues music from 7-9PM at It’s a Grind coffeehouse in Frisco, on Saturday, October 11. Steve is one of North Texas most prominent supporters of music and musicians, and owner of Anderson Guitar Gallery—a guy who can talk the talk and walk the walk!

Michael “The Mudcat” Reames Appears at the Chautauqua Auditorium in Waxahachie, Saturday, October 11. Pre-show starts at 6PM and the main event at 7PM. This is part of Songwriter Saturdays, a monthly program run by Tredway and Friends of
InTheMusicRoom.com fame. Mudcat will be backed by Ryan Michael Galloway, and a number of other talented performing songwriters will play.

CCSA musicians and friends lend their talents to a benefit for Innovative Challenges and FragileX, organizations supporting people with mental and physical disabilities. The event is Sunday, October 12, from 1 – 5PM. Headlining is Urban Renewal, a Tower of Power tribute band—lots of horns and funk. Also performing are Diane Hart and her trio, Tony Vea and his quartet, and C. Aaron Moore. Sound and stage management provided by record producer and engineer Ron Logan, and Ryan Michael Galloway.

Ryan Michael Galloway has been nominated for recognition as the “Texas State Musician,” with the Office of the Governor, Texas Music Office. Last session, about 20 people were nominated out of literally hundreds of thousands of Texas musicians. The final designation will be voted on by the Texas State Legislature in the next session. Ryan will appear next at Journeys Pub, in The Zone at Virginia and Custer in McKinney, starting at 7PM, October 27.
